All of our babysitters go through the same rigorous screenings as our full-time nannies. That means we verify their credentials, perform background checks, and interview babysitters before admitting them to our provider network.

Each caregiver is also registered with Trustline (the only screening program for in-home caregivers in California that can access fingerprint records at both the CA Department of Justice and the FBI.)

Your caregiver will be CPR certified and will have a minimum of two (2) years of childcare experience. Other credentials will vary per provider, and you can review the qualifications, job history, and profile of each match through your custom dashboard.

If your child is ill, we must be notified at least 48 hours prior to a scheduled booking. It is up to the individual babysitter if they feel comfortable accepting the booking. If they accept, the hourly babysitting rate will be time-and-a-half. If a sitter chooses not to care for an ill child, we’ll hold your original booking fee on file for three (3) months so you can use it towards another booking.

Our babysitters work during holidays at their own discretion – each caregiver decides if they will apply for one of our holiday requests. However, we do have select dates when we do not provide services: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Day, and Easter. Our babysitters have families and loved ones, too, so we want to respect their time over the holidays.

Nanny Village fees are paid via whatever credit card we have on file for you. You’ll pay your babysitter directly – payment is due at the end of service. You can pay via cash, Venmo, or Zelle.
