It’s an exciting time to be in the semiconductor industry.

Campuses around the country are growing, new facilities are breaking ground, and the government is investing in manufacturing – including billions of dollars through CHIPS Act Childcare.

But there are some barriers, too.

The industry’s tight labor market – and facilities built in child care deserts – make it harder to find and retain a workforce.

The government is investing billions – but only if a company offers child care to its employees.

That’s where we come in.

Our full suite of childcare services and customizable plans deliver turn-key solutions tailored to you.

Our programs help you attract qualified talent, maximize employee productivity, and compete for CHIPS Act Childcare federal funding.

Do you need a child care plan
for CHIPS Act funding?

The government tied its new semiconductor funding to child care.

Here’s what it means for you.

In 2022, the CHIPS and Science Act allocated over $52 billion in federal funding to promote development in the semiconductor industry.

Now, companies of all sizes can apply to receive millions in federal funding – but there’s a catch.

Applications requesting more than $150 million in Direct Funding must include detailed plans to provide child care for the facility’s construction workers and employees.

Requesting less than $150 million in funding?

The federal government “strongly encourages” applicants under the threshold to still provide employer-sponsored child care.

Whether required or not, child care will play a critical role in determining which applications receive CHIPS funding.
